Gasification of the Rostov region

Gasification of the Rostov region with natural gas began in 1956 after commissioning of the Stavropol — Moscow main gas pipeline. The first received natural gas of the city: Rostov-on-Don, Novocherkassk, Red Sulin and rural areas: Aksay, Zernogradsky and Egorlyksky.

In total in the Rostov region natural gas is used more than in 700 settlements. Extent of inter-settlement and local gas pipelines across the territory of the Rostov region is more than 43 thousand km, including in rural areas more than 24 thousand km.

As of 01.01.2020 the level of gasification of the Rostov region was 88.41%.

The average level of gasification in the cities - 96.73%,

The average level of gasification on areas - 72.38%

Reconstruction and construction of facilities of gas supply, including socially important for the Rostov region, within investment programs of PJSC Gazprom is carried out.

The Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Rostov region together with structures of PJSC Gazprom is carried out work on reconstruction of the most popular and overloaded gas distribution stations located in the territory of the Rostov region.

Thanks to cooperation and the reached interaction between the government of the Rostov region and PJSC Gazprom within the investment program "Gazprom — to Children" in the territory of municipal units of the Rostov region, sports and improving complexes are under construction.

Implementation of the pilot project "Development of the Market of Gas Motor Fuel in the Rostov Region" continues.

In 2019, large-scale events for stimulation of development of gas-filling infrastructure and re-equipment of automotive vehicles for use of natural gas as motor fuel were held.

Within the signed schedule of synchronization of actions for development of network of gas engine infrastructure and use of natural gas as motor fuel in the Rostov region for 2018-2021, design and construction of 20 objects in the territory of the Rostov region is included.

Following the results of 2019 in the Rostov region 7 CNG filling stations are put into operation (in Rostov-on-Don, Volgodonsk, Taganrog, Novocherkassk, Bataysk and 2 objects in the Aksay district).

Private investors who in 2020 plan construction of 4 CNG filling stations are also involved in the Rostov region in development of gas-filling infrastructure.
