Women's handball club – is founded in 1965, till 2002 carried the name "Rostselmash". 

The CEO of club is Anton Nikolaevich Revenko, the head coach of team of the Superleague – Martin Ambros, coaches of the team – Tatyana Igorevna Bereznyak, Evgeny Aleksandrovich Timirbulatov, Glavata Tomasz, the doctor of team – Nikolay Aleksandrovich Donich. 

In 2016 at the games of the XXXI Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro six handballers Rostov-Don as a part of Russian national team won gold medals. 

In 2019 for the first time for the last 10 years the national team of Russia won bronze medals of the World Cup in handball among women as a part of which 9 sportswomen and the head coach of handball club Rostov-Don acted. According to the Hendboll Planet portal Anna Vyakhireva is included in the symbolical national team of the world and recognized as the best assistant to a tournament and also the most useful player on a "goal + grazed" system in 2019. 

Achievements of Rostov-Don Group for the last 5 years:

  • Supercup of Russia: 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018. 
  • champion of Russia: 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020. 
  • silver prize-winner of the championship of Russia: 2016. 
  • finalist of the Cup of the European handball federation: 2015. 
  • owner of the Cup of the European handball federation: 2017. 
  • silver prize-winner of the European Champions League: 2019. 

Representation of players of Rostov-Don Group in national team of Russia for the last 5 years: 

2016 – 11 people; 

2017 – 8 people; 

2018 – 8 people; 

2019 – 9 people; 

2020 – 9 people. 

Now as a part of Russian national team: Vladlen Bobrovnikov, Vyakhireva Anna, Polina Kuznetsova, Kozhokar Christina, Shade Anna, Kalinina Victoria, Yaroslava Frolova,  Yulia Managarova, Ksenia Makeeva. 

In a season of 2020-2021 the handball club Rostov-Don was replenished with new players: Zaadi Dan Lidiya Gray (France), Krpezh Shlezak Catharina (Serbia), Lagerkvist Anna Karin Beatrice (Sweden), Kalinina Victoria (Russia).
